Hi there! :-)

i reaaaaaaaaally had to draw him....honestly! :D

Matt Bomer totally hits my top 10 of the most beautiful faces on TV.
He screamed at me to draw him. :-) So i did.
It was difficult, for one i don't know his facial features yet and second i tried to draw
a little more realistic (some thing i'm still not good enough at it, yet).
So maybe i'll give it another try...next time with a hat.
No man can wear a hat as good as he does :-)

But i like this drawing anyway, because of this beautiful face :-)
hope you'll like too, even if you don't know him.
(watch White Collar - it's pretty "catchy" and you get to see him a looooooooooot :-))

leave me a comment, if you like, i know i do :-)

if i remember correctly - it was a mix. Pencil 8b and black charcoal (hard pressed pencil). you too could use a black marker/pen if you want it really black, but it needs thick paper and some practice.
Yeah you should try....that's how i learned. Good luck!

This is amazing. I've tried to draw different variations of this picture and none of them have turned out quite right. I'd love to know how you did this.

Thank you very much!
i have to admit it's quite difficult to draw such a beautiful face. I just paid a lot of attention and drew it little by little.
If you can't get it right, try drawing with a grid, that's all advice i can give you....if you have a specific question you can asked.:-)

THX again!

Thanks for responding. Did it take you long to draw the picture?

No problem :-)
well as you can read :-) in my description, it took 10-12 hours.
it's long, but i needed the time for all the shading and the black background. there were at least 3 Layers to get it that dark. :highfive:

Did you do the details first and then add shading or did you do it as you went?

hmmm...i have to admit, my "drawing-style" is kind of messy. i never do it the same way, because i'm still learning and practicing.
i think in this drawing (outlines first) i started with the eyes, and worked my way down along with light shading. than i did the background and the hair togehter, for better blending. after the black background was on the paper i realised the shading was to light and darkend it by putting on one or two more layers.
So i guess, details first, shading in the progress, background and shading again. see???....messy! :-)
here is one great tutorial, short but really insideful, maybe this will help better, than me trying to explain :-)
