Mr. Tom Ripley :-)

this (Hopefully) is my entry for :iconmr-ripley:'s Draw Tom Ripley contest. Here:[link]

Matt Damon is such an great actor and wanted to draw him forever. This contest was the perfect reason to do that. :D

My reference picture was a movie-screenshot.
It's the scene (for me really remarkable) where Tom is earsdropping on Marge and Dickie.
His face is just so....i don't know maybe a little perfidiously, diabolic??? but you feel for him.....he just wants to be liked and/or be somebody else.

The Talented Mr. Ripley is a really great movie. So let me just give you my two favourite quotes:

I always thought it would be better, to be a fake somebody... than a real nobody.

Don't you just take the past and put it in a room in a basement and lock the door and never go in there? That's what I do, And then you meet someone special and all you want to do is to toss them the key and say; open up, step inside, but you can't, because it's dark, There's demons and if anybody saw how ugly it is. I keep wanted to do that, fling the door open just let light in and clean everything out.

Du bist mittlerweile so gut, das sieht toll aus!
Ich find Matt Damon fantastisch, die Bourne Filme sind bei mir ganz oben auf der Liste. Find ich super wie er geworden ist, der Hintergrund passt auch gut. Daumen hoch! :)

Ich gebe mir Mühe immer besser zu werden :-)

Oh ja und bei mir auch...Bourne ist super, hatte mir im Zuge des Contest Mr.Ripley und gleich danach die 3 Bourne Filme angeschaut....definitiv in meiner top25 movie liste.
Mal davon ab....erinnert mich Taylor manchmal an Matt Damon :-)

Awww thank you for the sweet comment and thank you very much for excepting my work to your contest.

And i just want to say, i really appreciate you making that contest, it's a good way to bring more Matt Damon /Tom Ripley art on DA :clap: There are a lot of great pieces made for that and that's what i like very much!

And i know what you mean about the quote. It's more than true what he said there and also an extremly intense scene.

I'm glad you could tell right away which scene i've chosen. It's a great compliment.
